Strange Animals.
Wildlife Conservation. 1971.
Olive and
bluish geen omitted
Scott No. 1430b
This error is rather subtle in that
the casual stamp user might not notice it when pulling stamps apart
to pay bills, but once recongnized, is jewel-like because of its subtlety.
Adding to its appeal is its rarity, with only 8 blocks reported

Toolin'
Around the Moon.
Space Achievement. 1971.
Red and blue omitted
Scott
No. 1435d
The omission of red and blue only enhance the stark quality
of the lunar surface.

A Delightful Pair of Errors Befitting a
Marvelous and Under-appreciated Poet.
Emily Dickinson. 1971.
Black and
light olive geen omitted (left stamp); flesh tone omitted (left stamp
on right pair)
Scott Nos. 1436a and 1436b, respectively.
The left
stamp, devoid of inscription is as simple and unadorned as Dickinson's
verse. The exceedingly rare stamps in the pair at
right contrasts as elegantly and gently as Dickinson's best
couplets.
