This fake is very deceptive at casual glance. When
compared with a normal stamp, the white areas of paper surround
the design appear slightly toned, the effect is subtle and not noticeable
unless compared with a normal stamp. Gum on the fake is slightly paler than
that on a normal stamp. With careful observation, vehicle
residue from the red ink is visible at oblique angles
in bright light. It appears as ghosting of the lettering.
