IMPERFORATE TERMINOLOGY -
AN ILLUSTRATED GUIDE
|

|

|
The omission of perforations between two normally perforated
stamps is the fundamental element necessary to classify
an item as an error. Beyond that, imperforate errors are
described by the appearance of the exterior sides. The basic
descriptive terminology is illustrated below. Multiples are
described accordingly.

Other Configurations
Some items do not fit into
the basic descriptive categories. They can be described
according to their appearance, such as "horzontal pair, imperforate,
but possessing perforations on top and left sides."
